Book/Study Excerpts: I Am Therefor I Do

Daughters responsibilities

Being a Daughter of The King

As a daughter of the King we have been SO blessed, SO loved, SO protected, SO provided for, and SO forgiven that we are FREE to bless others, FREE to love others, FREE to protect others, FREE to be gracious to others and FREE to forgive them. LK 12:48b - From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. (NIV) Philippians 4:19 - You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. (MSG) 1 Peter 4:12 - Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it (MSG)

What I am saying is: because my Father in Heaven has and does love me so, much it is my pleasure and desire to share it with others. Because, I have been completely forgiven I can and choose to completely forgive. Because, I have been so richly provided for, I can be generous with my riches, whether it be by time or money. Because, I have been protected, I can risk protecting others.

When we begin to walk in the truth of who we are it becomes easier to be who we are. Self-confidant, I am not. God confident, I am. I can do all things (Phil 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength. (NIV)) I do not have to be annoyed when someone cuts me off while driving. I can choose to send them blessings and pray for their safe arrival at their destination. I do not have to be angry when someone lies to me. I can choose to forgive them, understanding that lying really isn't about me, the person being lied to, it is about the person telling the lies. This person needs my prayers. They obviously don't know who they are in Christ. In fact, they probably still believe the lies Satan has planted in their life long ago. They need Jesus. We have the great opportunity to be that to them. We can choose to share the love of God by doing what Jesus would do for them. We are ambassadors for Christ, His representatives. What an honor.
